基于语料库的“hardcore”和“硬核”对比研究及互译策略

A Corpus-based Comparative Study of“hardcore”and“yinghe”and Its Translation

自2018年起,源自英文“hardcore”的“硬核”一词在网络上迅速刷屏,成为年度流行词。借助Google Books Corpus、iWeb和BCC语料库,总结了“hardcore”和“硬核”在英汉语使用中的主要语义,发现二者在基本词义、语言变化和科技术语方面存在不对等的情况。在两词互译过程中,译者应结合“找译译法”和“现有译法”对术语进行检索验证以追求表达的规范性,培养对语言发展和变化的敏感度,注重中西文化语境的差异性,在考虑接收方传统的同时保持自身文化特性,在翻译中构建对外话语体系,以有效地传播中国文化,树立新时代大国形象。

Since 2018,the Chinese term“yinghe”,originating from English word“hardcore”,has been widely used on internet and become the buzzword of the year.This paper utilizes Google Books Corpus,iWeb and BCC to compare the meaning of the two English and Chinese words,and the results indicate non-equivalences in their basic meaning,language variations and technical terms.In view of these differences,this paper argues that translators should combine“translation method of looking for equivalent”and“current translation method”to achieve term standardization,cultivate keen awareness of diachronic language changes,and take into consideration the disparity of Chinese and Western cultural contexts.Moreover,translators should maintain Chinese cultural traits whilst respecting the traditions of other cultures and raise our own voice in the international arena so as to more effectively spread Chinese culture and build the national image through translation.
