In Quicksand,Helga Crane’s mulatto identity constructs a"third space"for her to live between the white and black worlds, and it becomes the premise and possibility for her to transcend the geographical threshold and roam constantly.Taking African-American women in Harlem Renaissance as the research object, the paper aims to examine the possibilities of black flaneuse leaving where they roam and entering communities and places, and to reveal the American black women constructing the"third space"in the process of urbanization to adapt to the existing urban spatial order, and breaking through the restriction of gender and racial space through transboundary and action, thus participating in the racial space production in American cities and transnational space production..
