毛泽东是党内较早认识到政治纪律重要性的领导人,在长期领导中国革命和建设的实践过程中,对党的政治纪律建设作了深入的思考与探索,为发展和完善党的政治纪律建设做出了重要贡献,主要体现在:不断丰富党的纪律内容,为党的政治纪律建设提供基本保证;统一党员政治行为准则,为党的政治纪律建设提供基本规范;反对党内各种错误倾向,为党的政治纪律建设打下思想基础;严格执行党的纪律处分,为党的政治纪律建设提供有力保障。毛泽东对党的政治纪律建设的探索,完善了政治纪律的内容、原则和制度体系,为当前加强党的建设、全面从严治党提供了重要的现实启示。

As a pioneering and forethoughtful leader in Chinese revolution and socialist construction,Mao Zedong heeded the significance of political discipline at an early time.He reflected critically on and explored tentatively into the establishment of the political discipline of the Communist Party of China(CPC),and thus contributed profoundly to the development and improvement of the political discipline of the CPC.Mao’s contributions are mainly manifested in the following aspects:firstly,continuously enriching the content of the Party’s discipline and thus providing the basic guarantee for the construction of the Party’s political discipline;secondly,unifying the political code of conduct of the Party members and providing basic norms for the construction of the political discipline of the Party;thirdly,standing against various erroneous tendencies within the Party and laying an ideological foundation for the construction of the Party’s political discipline;and fourthly,strictly implementing the Party’s disciplinary measures and providing a strong guarantee for the Party’s construction of its political discipline.Mao’s exploration of the establishment of the Party’s political discipline helped to improve the contents,principles and systems of the political discipline of the Party,and therefore it provides important practical enlightenment for strengthening the Party construction and comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline.
