The group of Jewish refugee painters in Shanghai is a special case of heterotopia cultural exchange.Up until now,the existing research has been generally focused on the overall study of Jews in cities or regions, while the special research on the elite group of Jewish refugee painters in Shanghai is rare. This paper focuses on the Jewish refugee painters in the Shanghai Concession from the 1930s to the 1940s,especially taking Friedrich Schiff and David Ludwig Bloch as examples,to explore the reason why Shanghai has become a paradise for Jewish refugee painters from the perspectives of sociology, history and regional culture.Afterwards,it discusses five paths of Jewish refugee painters'"art migration",and analyzes the livelihood picture depicted from the perspective of iconology to shape the image of this specific group. This helps to supplement the modern Sino-Jewish art exchange history.
