The Enlightenment of Internal Governance of Cornell University to Chinese Universities

从对康奈尔大学治理历程的详细探究,总结出其内部治理的几大特点:优化大学治理环境、实施多元主体共同治理、赋予学院较大自主权、实行校董事会全面监督。基于康奈尔大学的内部治理经验,文章提出了针对我国大学内部治理的可行性建议,包括优化大学自主办学环境、落实多元主体共同治理、实现内部治理权力下移、平衡大学内部权力。

Becoming a world-class university is closely related to the efficient and reasonable governance of Cornell University.This paper makes a detailed study of the governance process of Cornell University,and summarizes several characteristics of the internal governance of Cornell University:Analysis on the environment of university governance reform,the implementation of multiple subjects common governance,the greater autonomy of the college,and the overall supervision of the board of trustees.Based on the internal governance experience of Cornell University,this paper puts forward some feasible suggestions for the internal governance of Chinese universities,including optimize the environment for universities to run their own schools,implementing the joint governance of multiple subjects,realizing the devolution of internal governance power,and balancing academic and administrative power.
