名誉权是《民法典》人格权编所规定的一种重要人格权,也是实践中纠纷最多的具体人格权类型,其关系到民事主体在社会中的地位及受尊重程度。完善名誉权保护制度对于民事主体至关重要。《民法典》人格权编从明确名誉和名誉权的内涵和外延、明确死者名誉受法律保护、妥当处理名誉权保护与新闻报道和舆论监督之间的关系、合理划分文学创作自由和名誉权保护的界限、明确赋予民事主体对失实内容的更正删除权等五个主要方面对名誉权保护制度作了完善。

It is vital to the civil subject to perfect the protection system of reputation right. And the Part IV Personality Rights of the Civil Code improves the protection system of reputation right from five aspects as below: to specify the connotation and denotation of reputation and reputation right, to specify the right of legitimate protection of the reputation of the dead, to properly handle the relations of the protection of reputation right, news report and media scrutiny, to reasonably draw a line between freedom of literary creation and protection of reputation right, and to confirm the right of correction and deletion entitled to the civil subject.
