Exploration of professors'academic governance in non-profit private universities

现代大学制度中的“教授治学”与传统的“教授治学”内涵迥然不同。新世纪以来,“教授治学”经过了学者理论探讨、高校实践探索、政府大力推进的发展过程。江西服装学院为完善当代民办高校治理结构,探索我国非营利性民办高校教授治学、民主管理的共治模式,充分发挥高级专业技术职称教师在教学、科研和学校学术事务管理中的作用,成立了教授评议会,它是非盈利民办大学“教授治学”的创新实践。

The connotation of“professors’academic governance”in the modern university system is quite different from the traditional“professors’academic governance”.Since the new century,“professors' academic govemance” has gone through a development process of theoretical discussion by scholars,practical exploration by universities,and vigorous promotion by the government.In order to improve the governance structure of contemporary private colleges,exploring the co-governance model of non-profit private college professorsJ academic and democratic management,and giving full play to the role of teachers with senior professional titles in teaching,scientific research and school academic affairs management,the professor council is established,which is an innovative practice of professors'academic governance in non-profit private universities.
