Based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the main design institute of large hydropower station in developing the general contracting business of hydropower resettlement project,this paper puts forward the feasibility and necessity analysis so as to put forward suggestions for the main design institute to further develop the general contracting business of other specialties,and speed up the pace of upgrading and transforming the traditional design institute to a scientific and technological engineering company.
