From the initial psychopathological diagnosis to the de-pathological diagnosis in the latest version of DSM-V and ICD-11,this article introduces the periodic changes of transgender in the psychiatric diagnosis manual,and discusses the limitations of simple psychiatric diagnosis in understanding transgender phenomena.This article summarizes the existing results of domestic and foreign researches on the concept of gender identity of transgender,and also introduces psychological measurements of gender identity of transgender.This article also introduces sociological view as a theoretical model about how transgender people self-construct their transgender identity,to promote and deepen readers′understanding of transgender phenomena.
