新时代高校爱国主义教育肩负重要的使命任务,一是增强时代新人的知国意识;二是厚植时代新人的爱国情怀;三是激励时代新人的强国志向,四是引导时代新人的报国担当。将为党治国理政、为坚持中国特色社会主义制度、为建设社会主义现代化国家和为中华民族伟大复兴培养人作为基本价值取向。新时代高校爱国主义教育应遵循人才培养规律,用好课堂教学“主渠道”,运用各类爱国主义教育实践载体,营造爱国主义教育的浓厚氛围,引导时代新人增强爱国意识、厚植家国情怀、砥砺强国志向、践行报国担当。
