资源产业集聚对资源型城市经济增长的影响--基于夜间灯光数据的实证研究

Impact of Resources Industry Agglomeration on Economic Growth of Resource-based Cities--Empirical Study Based on Night-Time Light Data

在资源依赖背景下,发挥好资源产业集聚的正向作用,是资源型城市实现经济可持续增长的关键。基于2005—2017年山西省11个地级市面板数据,采用校正整合的夜间灯光数据度量城市经济增长,并运用系统广义矩估计法(SYS-GMM)检验了资源产业集聚对城市经济增长的影响。结果表明:资源产业集聚对资源型城市经济增长影响显著,呈“先上升,后下降”的倒“U”型关系,在资源产业集聚初期将推动城市经济增长,但过度集聚反而会抑制经济增长。

In the context of resource dependence,giving play to the positive role of resource industry agglomeration is the key for resource-based cities to achieve sustainable economic growth.Based on the panel data of 11 prefecture-level cities in Shanxi Province from 2005 to 2017,this paper adopted night-time light data to measure urban economic growth,and used systematic generalized moment estimation method(SYS-GMM)to empirically examine the impact of resource industry agglomeration on urban economic growth.The results showed that:resources industry agglomeration had a significant impact on economic growth in resource-based cities,and showed an inverted U-shaped relationship of“rising first,then falling”.In the beginning,moderate resources industry agglomeration promoted urban economic growth,while excessive agglomeration would restrain economic growth.Finally,according to the results,this paper put forward relevant policy implications.
