LINC00958 and tumor prognosis:Meta-analysis and bioinformatics

目的:验证长链非编码RNA(lncRNA)LINC00958在不同类型肿瘤中的表达以及预后价值。方法:在PubMed、Web of Science、Elsevier、Springer、知网的数据库中进行相关文献检索,检索时间从建库至2020年4月3日。运用Stata 12.0 MP软件,在肿瘤患者的总体生存期(OS)上计算风险比(HR)和相应的95%置信区间(CI)来评估肿瘤患者的预后,分析优势比(OR)和相应的95%CI来评估癌症患者年龄、性别、肿瘤大小、肿瘤分化程度、肿瘤转移的促进或抑制效应。利用GEPIA在线分析数据库分析LINC00958在各类肿瘤组织中的表达情况以及进行生存分析。结果:总计有8项研究,包括1060例癌症患者纳入本次Meta分析。与LINC00958低表达组相比,LINC00958高表达组患者的OS较短(HR为1.533,95%CI为1.212~1.940,P<0.001)。LINC00958的高表达与肿瘤发生转移有关(OR为2.859,95%CI为1.966~4.156,P<0.001)。结论:LINC00958的高表达与多种肿瘤的不良预后相关,但需要更多的研究做进一步的分析。

Objective:To verify the expression level and prognostic value of long-chain non-coding RNA(lncRNA)LINC00958 in various tumors.Methods:We searched the PubMed,Web of Science,Elsevier,Springer and CNKI(up to April 3,2020)for literature.In the overall survival rate,hazard ratio(HR)and the 95%CI were calculated to evaluate the prognosis of tumor by Stata 12.0 MP software.The odds ratio(OR)and 95%CI were analyzed to assess the promotion or inhibition effects of patients'age,gender,tumor size,tumor differentiation and metastasis by Stata 12.0 MP software.Moreover,we extracted data for validation of the results in Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis(GEPIA)dataset.Results:A total of 8 studies comprising 1060 cancer patients were included in the final Meta-analysis.High expression of LINC00958 significantly predicted worse overall survival(OS)in various cancers(HR=1.533,95%CI:1.212-1.940,P<0.001).Meanwhile,LINC00958 expression was correlated with tumor metastasis(OR=2.859,95%CI:1.966-4.156,P<0.001).Conclusion:The present study suggests that up-regulation of LINC00958 is related to poor clinical survival outcomes in multiple tumors,but more relevant studies need to be included for further studies.
