Severe community-acquired pneumonia(SCAP) is a common respiratory critical disease. Studies have shown that treatment with integrated Chinese and Western medicine is effective. The overall, systematic, and dynamic characteristics of metabolomics are basically consistent with the ideas of the overall concept and syndrome differentiation in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). The rise of metabolomics and the development of related technologies have provided a reference for the study of SCAP in TCM. This article will discuss the treatment of severe community-acquired pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine from the perspective of metabolomics, aiming to provide ideas for scientific research.
