中国文化“走出去”:金庸武侠小说作为翻译选材的可行性考量

摘要 翻译选材作为文化信息的载体如果能够在海外广泛传播,中国文化才能“走出去”。中国文化“走出去”的本质是中国文化的对外传播。任何传播过程都需要传播要素之间的互相协调才能完成。从传播内容、传播受众、传播环境与传播媒介几个要素的综合考虑来看,金庸武侠小说文化内容丰富,通俗性娱乐性的大众文学特征可以吸引大量的读者,成熟的传播环境和大众传播媒介可以为其助力。因此,把金庸武侠小说作为翻译选材是可行的。 If the materials for translation,as the carrier of cultural information,become popular abroad,Chinese culture can be introduced to the outside world far and wide as a result.Introducing Chinese culture to the outside world is,in nature,the international communication of culture.Any process of communication can be completed only by the coordinative function of the basic communication elements.From an comprehensive perspective of communication elements like“what”,“who”,“where”and“how”,Jin Yong’s kungfu novels are suitable and feasible for cultural communication as the material for translation because there is an abundant Chinese cultural elements in the novels,which are marvelously entertaining and can attract a lot of foreign readers.Furthermore,the international environment is getting increasingly favorable and mass media can be helpful.Therefore,Jing Yong’s kungfu novels are a right choice for cultural communication.
