Natural Public Space: The Site Application of Contemporary Land Art

大地艺术的本质性诉求是通过制造"场所"而将自然重新引入公众视野。对大地"场所"从自然空间向公共空间转换的艺术实践进行考察,有利于引导人们重新思考"自然",消除将自然与当代公共空间做出二元区分的片面思维,促使公众通过反思与自然的深层关系来应对当代诸多持续恶化的环境和社会问题。本文以当代大地艺术的"场所"应用为例,探讨在当代社会生活以及公共空间实践中积极发展"自然公共空间"的重要观念潜能和现实意义。

To bring"nature"back into the scope of public awareness by setting up specific site is an essential appeal of land art.A review of the site application in contemporary land art involves both conceptual and practical concerns of nature.It is of urgent importance that all human beings end a one-sided exclusive dualism that separates nature from public spaces,and advocate artists’and the public’s cooperative efforts to reflect on the relation between our living spaces and natural spaces.By addressing different contemporary land art forms and their site applications,this article intends to claim both the conceptual and utilitarian significance of promoting natural public spaces in contemporary public artistic practice.
