“澧河”还是“灃河”——明清《霍邱县志》所载河流名称考辨

The Li River or the Feng River?——An Analysis of the Name of a River Recorded in The Records of Huoqiu County in the Ming and Qing Dynasties

澧(灃)河位于霍邱城西,北流入淮,明代以来跻身“霍邱八景”之一。明清《霍邱县志》对该河名称的表述存在差异,既表现在经常混用“澧”“灃”,又表现在将“澧河”与“灃河”分别定义。结合其他历史文献可知,明代《霍丘县志》中的“澧河”,实际就是《水经注》中的“穷水”,也即《太平寰宇记》中的“灃水”。“澧”字当为“灃”字之误。

The Li(Feng)River lies in the west of Huoqiu County and flows into the Huai River in the north.It has been one of the“Eight Scenes of Huoqiu”since the Ming Dynasty.There are differenc⁃es in the expression of the river’s name in The Records of Huoqiu County in the Ming and Qing dynas⁃ties,not only in the frequent mixed use of“Li”and“Feng”,but also in the different definitions of“the Li River”and“the Feng River”.Combined with other historical documents,it can be found that the“the Li River”in The Records of Huoqiu County in the Ming Dynasty is actually“the Qiong Water”in The Notes on Book of Waterways,or“the Feng Water”in The Records of Taiping Period.“Li”is actually a mistake for“Feng”.
