Emergency Management Strategy in Coping with COVID-19 in a Hospital

目的分析总结苏州市第五人民医院应对新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情的应急管理策略,为各地定点医疗机构开展类似工作提供参考。方法通过回顾医院在制度建设、组织领导、流程管理、救治策略、人文关怀等方面的战“疫”实践,系统梳理相关经验。结果面对疫情的严峻挑战,医院沉着应对、科学管理、精准施策,以患者零死亡、医护零感染、医院零事故的成绩较好地完成疫情防控救治工作。结论面对类似重大突发公共卫生事件,医疗机构须健全组织领导,完善制度建设和流程管理,上下一心,方能更有效地将具体措施落实到位。

Objective To analyze the emergency management strategy towards COVID-19 in the Fifth People’s Hospital of Suzhou, so as to provide reference for other medical institutions to deal with similar situations. Methods Through reviewing the practice of fighting COVID-19 in system construction, organization and leadership, process management, treatment strategy, humanistic care, etc., the relevant experience was sorted out. Results Facing the severe challenges of COVID-19 pandemic, we calmly responded, scientifically managed and accurately implemented policies, so that the pandemic situation was effectively controlled with zero death of patients, zero infection of doctors and nurses, and zero accident in our hospital. Conclusion For coping with similar major public health emergencies, medical institutions should improve organizational leadership, system construction and process management to ensure effective implementation of the specific measures.
