朱宇,1959年生,江苏南通人,现为中国工美行业艺术大师、中国一级民间工艺美术家、研究员级高级工艺美术师,以雕刻各式舟船见长,有“江东船王”之美誉,师古而不泥古.注重“运新意于古法中”。他的作品力求“技”与“意”的“双新让人有一种能工巧匠”的劳动成果和“由技进道”的清新格调之感,洋溢着执着的工匠精神和不懈的艺术探索精神。
