Objective To implement wet dressing care for patients with diabetes complicated by foot infection, and to explore the nursing effect of this method. Methods We screened patients with diabetes and foot infection who were treated in the hospital from November 2018 to December 2019.106 patients were selected as the subjects of this study. The odd-even number method was used to randomly divide the patients into study group and control group. There were 53 cases in each group. The control group implemented dry dressing care, and the study group implemented wet dressing care. The number of dressing changes, the interval between dressing changes, the compliance of dressing changes and the effect of wound healing were compared between the two groups. Results The number of dressing changes in the study group(4.01±0.52)times/week was lower than the number of dressing changes in the control group(6.33±0.49)times/week,and the interval between dressing changes(1.74±0.32)d in the study group was longer than(1.09±0.38)d,the differences were statistically significant(t=23.639,9.525,P<0.05);98.11%of the patients in the study group had significantly higher compliance with dressing change than the control group,77.36%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ^(2)=10.609,P<0.05);the total effective rate of wound healing in the study group was 100.00%,which were higher than 81.13%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ^(2)=11.042,P<0.05).Conclusion Wet wound dressing care for patients with diabetes complicated by foot infection can reduce the frequency of dressing change, improve the patient's compliance with dressing change, and is more conducive to wound healing. It is worthy of application.
