“The Rainbow”is a representative work written by English writer D.H.Lawrence,which not only depicted the love lives of three generations of the Brangwens,but also described heroines in a highlighted way so that this novel conveyed the thoughts of feminism in some way.From the perspective of feminism,this paper analyses the ample images of the three generations of heroines with understanding different and related biblical and mythological imagery.It is in an attempt to shed light on Lawrence’s deep concerns about women as well as his expectation that women pursue gender equality and their independence.
