王红公汉诗英译的生态批评

An Ecocritical Study of Kenneth Rexroth’s Translation of Classical Chinese Poetry

20世纪美国诗人、翻译家王红公,广泛地吸收了东西方生态智慧,形成了自己独特的生态哲学观。作为"诗人译诗"的重要代表,王红公的生态哲学思想影响了其汉诗英译的翻译选择和翻译方法等,而汉诗英译亦在其生态哲学观的形成中扮演了重要角色。这些都使得王红公的翻译在目前的生态危机时代呈现出特殊意蕴和价值。生态批评视角下的王红公汉诗英译研究,正是对这种特殊价值的挖掘、重审,以期为古诗词外译研究提供一个生态维度,对中国文化"走出去"尤其是生态文化"走出去"有所启发。

In the 20 th century, American poet Kenneth Rexroth was deeply influenced by East-West ecological wisdom, and formed his own unique ecological philosophy. As an important representative of poet-translators, Rexroth’s ecological philosophy influenced his selection of poems to translate and translation methods in his English translation of classical Chinese poetry. In turn, Rexroth’s translation also played an important role in the formation of his ecological philosophy. Therefore, his translation shows a special meaning and value in the era of ecological crisis. This study attempts to re-examine Rexroth’s translation of classical Chinese poetry from the ecocritical perspective, in a bid to explore and revalue its ecological meaning. The ecocritical study in this article aims to insert an ecological dimension to the study on translation of classical Chinese poetry, and give advice to the strategy "Chinese Culture Going Global, " especially "Chinese Ecological Culture Going Global."
