Officials Should Establish a Correct Outlook on Responsibility

敢于担当是中华民族的传统美德,更是中国共产党人的永恒基因。习近平总书记把“敢于担当”作为新时期好干部的五条标准之一。回望历史,担当是领导干部必须继承的中国共产党人鲜明的政治品格;着眼现实,担当是领导干部面对新形势迎接新挑战创造新业绩的迫切需要;面向未来,担当是领导干部带领群众奋力实现伟大中国梦的使命所在。新时代党员领导干部,既要勇于担当,还要乐于担当,更要善于担当,切实增强政治担当、历史担当、责任担当。

The courage to assume responsibility is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation,and also an eternal gene of Chinese communists.General Secretary Xi Jinping regards“the courage to assume responsibility”as one of the five criteria for“good officials”in the new era.Looking back into the history,the courage to assume responsibility is a political character of Chinese communists that our officials must pass on;eyeing on the reality,assuming responsibility is an urgent need for officials to face the new situation,meet new challenges and create new accomplishments;looking forward to the future,assuming responsibility is the mission for leading officials to strive to realize the great Chinese dream.Officials in the new era should not only have the courage to,but also be willing to,and adept at taking on their responsibilities,but also strengthen their sense of responsibility from the political,historical,and responsibility functional perspectives.
