Fusion of Horizons Based on the Understanding of Humanitarian Spirit——A Study of Li Gang’s Translation of Life and Destiny

力冈译作《生活与命运》展示译者对原作核心精神之人道主义的理解及视域融合过程。在与他人的关系层面,译者性格及对读者前理解的兼顾等使译文以情入,以"去蔽"法揭示作者"把人当作人"的人道精神,因此译文富有感染力。在与自我的关系层面,力冈的人生遭遇、译文序中所流露出的理性洞察力及"做一个人"的呼吁等前见因素,与原作人道主义精神之理性反思达至视域融合,故译文精准深刻。在与世界的关系层面,力冈的人生体验及其与上世纪80年代时代话语相一致的翻译实践与原作悲悯的宗教情怀化境融合,使译文悲凉抒情。译者对人道主义精神的理解及其翻译策略可以为大数据时代的文学翻译提供参照与借鉴。

Li Gang’s translation of Life and Destiny revolved around the understanding of the humanitarian spirit of the original text. In the relationship with others, the translator’s character and consideration of the reader’s pre-understanding made his translation affectionate, and revealed the author’s humane spirit of "treating people as human beings" by the method of "de-concealment", thus the translation is impressive. In the relationship with oneself, the foresight factors such as Li Gang’s life experience, the rational insight shown in the translation preface and the appeal of "being a person" were integrated with the rational reflection characteristics of the humanitarian spirit of the original text, so the translation is accurate and profound. In the relationship with the world, Li Gang’s life experience and his translation practice, which is consistent with the discourse of the 1980 s, merged with the religious feelings of compassion in the original text, so the translation is desolate and lyrical. The translator’s understanding of humanitarianism and his translation strategies can provide reference for literary translation in the era of big data.
