Reading is not only the key and difficult point of junior high school English teaching,but also an effective way to cultivate students’ comprehensive English ability. The fundamental purpose of compulsory education is to improve the scientific and cultural quality of the whole nation. Under the improvement of compulsory education quality,junior middle school English reading teaching should focus on cultivating students’ English literacy and comprehensive ability. Teachers should fully highlight students’ subjectivity in teaching,and cultivate students’ good reading habits through diversified teaching methods.
