To the editor:A 9-month-old girl presented with multiple hypomelanoticmacules that had been present since birth.Previously,shehad been diagnosed with nevus depigmentosus and treatedwith intermittent topical emollient and sun protectivemeasures;however,she exhibited no improvement.Oneweek prior to presentation in our clinic,the patient'smother had observed a shagreen patch on the patient'sback,as well as more than 10 new hypomelanotic maculeson her trunk and extremities.The parents recalled nohistory of infantile spasms or seizures.
