《月亮与六便士》三个中译本的译者主体性比较研究

A Comparative Analysis of Translator’s Subjectivity in Three Chinese Versions of The Moon and Sixpence

基于译者主体性的视角,对毛姆的小说《月亮与六便士》三个中译本分别从语义阐释、文化层面的传达、语言风格和翻译策略四个方面进行了比较研究并以实例论证,以探究译者主体性的具体体现。对比分析表明:语义阐释方面三位译者都基本传达了原作的信息,但也有稍微欠缺的地方;文化层面虽然都传达出了原作的信息,但不同时期的译者对一些形象的翻译处理不同;语言风格上体现出了时代性和地域性,同时期的译者风格更为相近;从翻译策略上来看,为了增加意义完整性、呈现出形式上的美感或者达到形式对等,不同译者用了不同的策略。

Translator’s subjectivity represented in semantic interpretation,cultural communication,language style and translation strategies is analyzed in three Chinese versions of The Moon and Sixpence,a novel by Maugham,and compared by examples.Generally speaking,all the three translators can basically convey the information of the original work,in spite of some slight deficiencies in semantic interpretation;culturally,they translated certain images in different ways;their translation are stylistically characteristic of their time and their region,and strategically different in order to achieve beauty in form or formal equivalence.It is believed that the analysis of these differences can provide reference for translators in the future.
