The Yangtze River Delta has a special status in the new development pattern of the country,assuming the strategic mission of highlighting and leading growth.The five new cities are located in the Shanghai city area,connecting Shanghai’s neighboring cities,and are important support points for Shanghai to radiate and drive the Yangtze River Delta city cluster.To build the five new cities into independent comprehensive node cities is an important step for Shanghai to become the central node of the domestic grand cycle and the strategic link of domestic and international dual cycle,which will help Shanghai to enhance the radiation-driven function.
