巨柏种子成熟时间的确定

Determination of Seed Ripening Time of Cupressus gigantea

以西藏特有的国家一级保护植物巨柏为研究对象,采用野外定位观察,结合室内种子萌发试验,以确定巨柏的成熟时间。结果表明:巨柏成熟过程伴随一系列形态变化,包括球果增大、种子增重和色泽改变等;巨柏为雌雄同株,一般在3月中下旬开花;巨柏开花授粉当年的4~7月是球果生长的旺盛期;巨柏球果最初为绿色,同年10月开始变为棕色,第二年3月颜色加深变为棕褐色;巨柏种子第二年3月形态成熟,4月生理成熟并具有发芽能力,建议巨柏的采种时间为4~10月均可,以5~7月较好。

The test was studied a special state-level protected plant in Tibet-Cupressus gigantea.The field location observation and the germination rate test were used to determine the maturity time of the seeds.The results showed that a series of morphological changes occurred during the maturation,including cone increase,seed weight gain,color change and so on.Cupressus gigantea is monoecious and usually blooms in the middle and late March.The peak period of the growth of cones of Cupressus gigantea is from April to July of the year.The cones are initially green,and some of the cones become brown in October and brown in March of the following year.The seeds of Cupressus gigantea are mature in March of the second year and physiologically mature in April,which has the ability to germinate.It is suggested that the seed harvesting time of Cupressus gigantea can be scheduled from April to October,and the best to do so is from May to July.
