For a hundred years,the Communist Party of China has been committed to advancing the sinicization of Marxism.Facing the profound disasters brought to the party and the country by the turmoil in the decade of the"cultural revolution",Deng Xiaoping,with the courage of a proletarian revolutionist,restored and established the party’s ideological line,made a major strategic decision on reform and opening up,and made a great impact on the world.He responded positively to the theme of the times in the world,proposed a new proposition of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and solved the confusion of learning from the West in the new era.The cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics that he initiated has provided us with important enlightenments for continuing to move forward from a century-old starting point.The enlightenments mainly include:combining Marxism with China’s specific reality,and continuously advancing the sinicization of Marxism;keeping in mind the original mission and adhering to the people-centered development concept;deepening reform and opening up to make socialism continue to be full of vigor and vitality;unswervingly moving away on the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics;striving to create a new situation for the party and the country.
