Green is the cornerstone of a beautiful China and an inevitable requirement for promoting high quality development in the new era.As an important part of the planning system in the UK,green belt policy has been incorporated into planning theory and urban construction earlier,played an important role in promoting the coordinated and sustainable development of urban and rural areas.This paper mainly analyzes the connotation of the green belt,the construction of green belt system and typical practices in Britain,and explores the beneficial concepts of British green belt policy,which has important reference significance and enlightenment for green belt system and construction of urbanization in China.
