Study on Technology of Miao’s Embroidery

苗族刺绣作为苗族文化的代表之一,是苗族人记录苗族历史、传承苗族文化的重要途径。苗族地区的人们长期僻居山野,与外界缺乏广泛的交流,逐渐形成了本民族特有的文化风俗。苗族刺绣工艺繁琐但精益求精,传统的苗族刺绣还是需要手工一步一步地完成,每一道工序都有严格要求,大致可分为五步。苗族刺绣的工艺技法代表了中国西南少数民族刺绣的最高水平,她那奇特、多变、繁复的针法是体现苗族原始思维、粗犷狞厉的依赖。

As one of the representatives of Miao Nationality culture,the Miao’s embroidery is an important way for Miao Nationality people to record the history and the culture of their own.The Miao people have lived in remote areas for a long time,lacking extensive communication with the outside world,and gradually formed their own unique cultural customs.The Miao’s embroidery process is complicated,but it is elaborate.The traditional Miao’s embroidery still needs to be done by hand step by step.Each process has strict requirements,which can be roughly divided into five steps.The Miao's embroidery technology represents the highest level of the ethnic groups in Southwest China's embroidery.Her unique,changeable and complicated embroidery is the dependence of the Miao people’s primitive thinking and the straight and bold characteristics.
