The Historical Mission of Cultural Power in the New Journey Towards Socialist Modernization

文化自信是民族复兴的重要支撑,文化强国是民族复兴的必然要求。统筹中华民族伟大复兴战略全局和世界百年未有之大变局,开启全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程,要把文化建设摆在更加重要更加突出的位置。党的十九届五中全会明确提出到2035年建成文化强国的远景目标,表明党对文化建设的认识和文化强国的信念达到了新的高度。如何认识社会主义文化强国的重大意义,如何推进社会主义文化强国建设,文章从文化强国的历史使命、文化强国的战略谋划、文化强国与文明互鉴等方面进行了阐释。

Cultural self-confidence is an important support for national rejuvenation, and cultural power is an inevitable requirement for national rejuvenation. In order to make an overall planning for the general situation of the great strategy of the Chinese national rejuvenation and for the unprecedentedly changing situation in the world over a century, and to embark on a new journey to build a modern socialist country in all respects, we must place cultural construction in a more important and prominent position. The 5^(th) Plenary Session of the 19^(th) Central Committee of the CPC clearly set the long-term goal of building a strong cultural country by 2035, which shows that the Party’s understanding of the cultural construction and belief in a strong cultural country have reached a new height. This paper expounds the great significance of socialist cultural power and the way to promote its construction, from the perspectives of the historical mission and the strategic planning of cultural power, and the mutual reference between cultural power and civilization.
