Maxillary second molar with 2 palatal root canals: A case report

上颌第二磨牙根管系统变异较大,多为三根管,有时可见颊根融合,腭侧双根管较为罕见。报告1例较为罕见的上颌第二磨牙腭侧双根双根管病例,提示在接诊过程中,临床医师应对上颌第二磨牙的髓腔解剖形态做到心中有数,结合现代牙科辅助手段,做好根管治疗。

The anatomy of the root canal system of maxillary second molars vary a lot,most of which are with 3 canals,sometimes the buccal root may fuse and occasionally the double palatal root canals may be seen.This paper reports a case of palatal double-root canals of a maxillary second molar.During the clinical treatment,it is particularly important to get familiar with the anatomical morphology of the pulp cavity and carry out perfect root canal therapy.
