The setting purpose of auxiliary pier of long-span cable-stayed bridge is elaborated.In combination with the structural characteristics of highway bridge over Sino-Korean Yalu boundary river,the design principles of auxiliary pier of the bridge are discussed,and detailed data analysis on the setting parameters of auxiliary pier location of highway bridge over Yalu boundary river is made,so as to guide the design and construction of the bridge,and provide reference for the design of similar bridges.
