英语学习者的英语认同与英语教育规划研究

On Chinese English Learners’Identification with English and the Planning on English Education in China

摘要 英语在现今社会的地位时作用毋庸置疑,但这也不免给母语地位、母语认同和英语教育规划等带来新的挑战。在此背景下,本研究属不同教育层次的英语学习者(高中生、本科生最硕士生)为研究对象,以用查问卷为手段收集数据并进行分析,旨在了解他们对英语语言制文化以及对汉语的认同情况、英语在日常生活和教育环境中的使用情况以及他们对“英语热”的看法。调查发现,当今社会中汉语的使用空间被部分挤压;英语学习者对母语有一定的认同,但对英语学习更为重视。被试都认识到“英语热”具有积极意义。在此基础上,本文对我国的英语教育规划提出一些看法和建议。 The status and role of English make challenges for mother tongue education,identification withmother tongue and the planning on English education in present-day China.In this setting,the present studycollects data via survey with English learners at various levels,that is,students in high schools and colleges(undergraduates and postgraduates),The analysis of the data aims to find out how English learners at variouslevels identify with the English language and their mother tongue,how English is used in their daily life andeducation environment,and what they think of the popular enthusiasm for learning English in present-dayChina.Results from the survey show that the space for Chinese has been reduced to some extent because ofthe wide use of English.The students attach more importance to English though they still identify with theirmother tongue to a greater degree.They recognize the positive effects of the enthusiasm for English learning.The article ends up with some suggestions concerning the planning on English education in China.
