非认知能力对个体职业地位获得的影响——基于中国家庭追踪调查的经验分析

The Effect of Non-cognitive Ability on Individual Occupational Status Acquisition:Empirical analysis based on Chinese family panel studies

人力资本对个体职业地位获得的影响在经济学中得到了广泛而持续的研究。然而,由于测量方法和数据的限制,人力资本中非认知能力如何作用的经验研究却相对较少。通过利用2010年和2012年中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)数据,基于广泛用于测量非认知能力的“大五”人格分类标准,考察非认知能力对职业地位的影响。结果发现:严谨性维度下的条理性、顺同性维度下的信任和开放性维度下的价值对个体职业地位具有显著且稳健的正向影响;非认知能力对个体职业地位的影响在性别和城乡之间存在差异。该研究表明,家庭、学校和社会在培养个体能力时,应有针对性地培养相应的非认知能力。

The impact of human capital on individual occupational status has been studied extensively and continuously in economics.However,there are relatively few empirical studies on the role of non-cognitive ability in human capital because of the limit of measurement methods and data.Using the data of 2010 and 2012 Chinese Family Panel Studies(CFPS),examines the impact of non-cognitive abilities on occupational status based on the“Big five”personality classification criteria which is widely used to measure non-cognitive abilities.The results show that the logic dimension under conscientiousness,the trust dimension under agreeableness and the value dimension under openness have significant and stable positive effects on individuals occupational status.The influence of non-cognitive ability on individual occupational status acquisition was heterogeneous between male and female、urban and rural.The research shows that family,school and society should cultivate the corresponding non-cognitive ability in a targeted manner when they cultivate individual ability.
