《2020年政府工作报告》机译英文版偏误分析

Error Analysis of the Machine-Translated English Version of the“2020 Report on the Work of the Chinese Government”

本文以谷歌翻译的《2020年中国政府工作报告》机译英文版的语料为基础,通过与政府发布的官方译文的比较,对《2020年政府工作报告》机译英文版进行了偏误分析。分析表明,机译英文版的偏误在词汇、句法和语篇三个层面均有体现。为避免这些偏误,本文提出了及时建立政治术语库和加强机译之后的人工编辑等解决办法。

On the basis of the linguistic data from the machine-translated English version of the 2020 Report on the Work of the Chinese Government by Google Translate,this paper makes an error analysis of the machine-translated version of the report by carrying out a comparison between this version and that released by the Government.The analysis shows that errors by machine translation occur at the lexical level,syntactic level and textual level as well.For the avoidance of such errors,the paper has proposed corresponding remedies,including the establishment of a timely glossary concerning the current Chinese politics and the enhancement of human editing after machine translation.
