摘要
高能粒子是探索物质微观结构,揭开有关宇宙结构和演化的最强有力工具.但受限于加速器的加速场强和尺度,人类能将粒子加速到最高多少能量还不得而知.最近一系列的新颖加速技术,如等离子体加速、激光加速,将有可能大幅提升加速粒子的能量,为人类探索自然提供更强有力的手段.
High-energy particles are the most powerful tools for exploring the microscopic structure of matter and unraveling the structure and evolution of the universe,but it is unknown how high energy humans can accelerate particles due to the limited acceleration field strength and distance of accelerators.Recently,a series of novel acceleration technologies,such as plasma acceleration and laser acceleration,have the potential to greatly improve the energy of accelerated particles and provide more powerful tools for human exploration of the nature.
