议程设置视角下突发公共事件命名研究--以新冠肺炎命名为例

Naming Public Emergencies from the Perspective of Agenda-setting:Taking COVID-19 as an Example

突发公共事件命名是应急沟通的起点,给事件的传播定下基调%现有文献对突发公共事件命名的研究主要有术语学和语言学视角,前者着眼于命名是否能指明发病原因、临床表现等,后者着眼于命名的指称功能和语用原则,较少从突发公共事件传播的角度进行讨论%本文依据传播学的议程设置理论,分析不同疾病命名方式提示的认知框架,提出突发公共事件传播视角下的疾病命名应采取提示传染框架的流行病学命名方式,并应避免使用提示源头的地名命名法%基于这一主张,文章分析了新型冠状病毒肺炎命名中的问题,建议采用“传染性冠状病毒肺炎”命名,以激活公众对疾病的传染框架,增强公众对疾病传播的警觉和自我防护意识.

The naming of public emergencies is the starting point of emergency communication and sets the tone for communicating subsequent events.In the existing literature,nomenclature of public emergencies is mainly studied from the perspectives of terminology and linguistics.The former focuses on whether nomenclature can indicate the causes and clinical manifestations of the disease,while the latter focuses on the menclature can indicate the causes and clinical manifestations of the disease,while the latter focuses on the referential function and pragmatic principles of nomenclature,which are seldom discussed from the perspective of the communication of public emergencies.Based on the theory of agenda-setting in communication scitience,this paper analyzes the cognitive framework of different disease naming methods,and proposes that the cpidemiological naming of disease should indicate the infectious frame from the perspective of public emergencies communications,and the geographical naming indicating disease origin should be avoided.Based on this proposition,this paper analyzes the problems in the naming of COVID-19,and proposes to adopt the naming of"infectious new coronavirus pneumonia",so as to activate the infectious framework of the sidease among the public,and enhance the public's awareness of the spread of the disease and self-protection.
