吴敬梓的《儒林外史》是一部以讽刺见长的经典小说,自问世以来,获得众多学人推许。从茶文化学角度分析小说,以茶讽刺,情伪毕露:以茶充饥、以茶量人、以茶谑人、打茶官司、人走茶凉、挑粪工饮茶夕照、清凉山奇人论水等等,宜壶锡瓶,雨水煨茶,茶香氤氲于江南烟雨中,揭示出一个隐秘的茶世界。爬梳吴敬梓遗作《文木山房集》中的茶诗词,寻找小说的茶文化源流,从茶文化角度观照《儒林外史》无疑提供研究小说的新视角。

Wu jingzi’s The Scholars is a classic novel famous for its satire,receiving compliments from many academicians since its publication.This paper analyzes the novel from the perspective of tea culturewith the following results:It satirized false feelings by tea,including filling hunger with tea,measuring people with tea,teasing people with tea,fighting tea lawsuits,tea cooling down on people’s leaving,dung pickers’drinking tea at sunset,and peculiar people discussing water on the Qingliang Mountain,etc.It is found that the tea fragrance permeated in the misty rain in Jiangnan Area,by simmering tea leaves with rain in Yixing purple clay teapots and tin bottles,revealing a secret tea world.It undoubtedly provides a new perspective to study the novel by combing the tea poems in Wu Jingzi’s last work Wen Mu Shan Fang Collection,exploring the tea culture origin in The Scholars from the perspective of tea culture.
