The Formation and Characteristics of Liu Shen’e’s Thoughts of Historical Plant Geography

刘慎谔是中国植物学研究的开拓者和奠基人之一,他结合中国实际所开创的历史植物地理学具有重要的理论意义和现实意义.他在法国留学的十年奠定了其思想基础,其后在中国进行大范围的考察和研究让这一思想最终得以形成和发展.他提出的植物区系绝非一成不变,植被与环境的辩证统一的观点蕴含着丰富的自然辩证法思考,更为重要的是他运用这些理论在指导东北地区的森林伐育和西北地区的防沙治沙实践中取得突出成效,为新中国成立初期的国家建设和生态文明建设做出了重要贡献.

Liu Shen’e is one of the pioneers and founders of the discipline of plant geography in China.He created historical plant geography by combining Chinese reality that has important theoretical and practical significance.His ideas originated from the ten years of studying in France,and his formation and development were based on his extensive investigation and research in China.He proposed that the flora is by no means static and the dialectical unity of vegetation and environment which contains rich dialectical thinking of nature.More importantly,he applied these theories to guide the practice of deforestation and cultivation in the Northeast and the prevention and control of desertification in the Northwest and achieved outstanding results.Therefore,he made important contributions to the construction of the country and ecological civilization in the Early Days of People’s Republic of China.
