引发语前话语标记的话语功能

The Discourse Function of Discourse Markers in the FirstPart of A Turn

话语标记在引发语的开端部分使用,除了发挥语篇功能外,其人际功能也是不可忽视的。本文从自身表达与人际互动两方面考察来引发语前话语标记的话语功能。研究表明,从自身表达来看,引发语前的话语标记被用来帮助表达说话人的态度、情感或者立场。从人际互动方面来看,引发语前的话语标记作为邀请信号和提示信号,实现与交际对象的良性互动。使用话语标记在言语交际中适时给予对方提示,能引导听话人寻找话语的关联性,减少听话人的认知努力,从而使其注意到语流中重要信息的把握和判别,帮助理解语用意图和交际目的。

In addition to the textual function,the interpersonal function of discourse markers can notbe ignored when they are used in the first part of a turn.This paper examines the discourse function of prelingual discourse markers from two aspects of self-expression and interpersonal interaction.Research shows that,from the perspective of self-expression,preverbal discourse markers are used to help express the speaker's attitude,emotion or position.From the perspective of interpersonal interaction,the prelingual discourse markers serve as invitation signals and prompting signals to achieve benign interaction with the object of communication.The use of discourse markers to give timely cues to the other party in verbal communication can guide the hearer to find the relevance of the discourse and reduce the hearer's cognitive efforts,so as to make them pay attention to the grasp and discrimination of important information in the language flow,and help them understand pragmatic intention and communicative purpose.
