A set of more than 20 pieces of Ming Dynasty gold and silver jewelry unearthed in Mao'erpu,Enshi. This batch of jewelry is exquisite in materials, exquisite workmanship, and rich in styles, which is a rare batch of physical materials except for the materials from tombs of the emperor of the Ming Dynasty in Hubei.Unfortunately,it was not a scientific excavation,so related information was missing. It was only speculated that the site was a Tusi family cemetery. As far as this batch of gold ornaments is concerned,at least it can be concluded that non-powerful person cannot handle it,so the owner is either an official or a wealthy gentry. The hairpin, the heart-pick,the full crown, and the flower-head hairpin were the basic components of the ornaments worn on women's heads in the Ming Dynasty. The selected themes and styles of the jewelry were widely popular in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.
