According to the basic form of ultimate failure of natural foundation soil layer, this paper briefly analyzes the external and internal factors that affect its occurrence, and deeply understands the physical significance of the relevant parameters in the calculation formula of Article 5.2.4 of the foundation code GB50007-2011 based on the analysis and comparison of actual cases.
