新时代大学英语课程思政:“明德”与“思辨”——以《新时代明德大学英语综合教程3》为例 被引量:37

The Ideological-Political Elements within the College English Course in the Context of the New Era: Enlightenment with Virtues and Critical Thinking Skills

摘要 面向新时代,做好教材研发与任务点设计是落实大学英语课程思政的关键环节。《新时代明德大学英语综合教程3》依托OBE(Outcome-Based Education)成果导向教育理念,遵循反向设计原则,以"明德"为目标,基于主题"元素大纲",围绕社会主义核心价值观,将国家层面的富强、民主、文明、和谐作为主线,融入爱国、友善、平等、公正等主题,研发教学材料;以"思辨"为牵引,基于Webb的知识深度理论框架、Bloom的认知过程维度模型以及Hess et al.的认知能力矩阵模型,通过"问题导入""思辨拓展"等路径研发深度学习任务,探索如何把提高学生英语综合应用能力与弘扬社会主义核心价值观、中华优秀传统文化、爱国主义精神、改革创新的时代精神、人类命运共同体意识及培养跨文化和谐共处和全球治理能力有效融合,以实现大学英语课程育人育才相统一的目标。 It is a very promising research topic to integrate ideological-political elements into English teaching and learning process in the context of the new era in China.The editors for New Era Mingde College English (Integrated Coursebook 3) take the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) rationale as a guiding principle and adopt the backward design approach to develop the course materials.The textbook is oriented towards cultivating virtues in the learners as they examine the theme-based teaching and learning materials,which are organized according to such thematic stream as prosperity,democracy,civilization,harmony,patriotism,friendliness,equality and justice.The textbook aims to enhance learners’ critical thinking skills by questioning,critical analysis and deep learning tasks that are informed by Webb’s depth of knowledge levels,Bloom’s (1956) cognitive process dimensions and Hess et al.’s cognitive rigor matrix.The course materials are also developed with a view to integrating language skills with enlightening the learners with virtues,such as the core values of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the core values of Chinese tradition,patriotism as well as reform and innovation-based spirit of the time,an awareness of the significance for building a community of shared future for humanity as well as the competence to maintain peaceful co-existence with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.The book is expected to shed some light on the appropriate procedures that teachers may adopt in cultivating talent with virtues in the undergraduate non-English major language course.
