摘要
微信用户的个人资料图像是解析用户互联网生存心理和行为的关键切入点之一。社交网络中的自我呈现行为是否是现实生活的延伸与映射,一直存在争议。本文基于自我呈现理论、大五人格模型理论、人格心理学视角进行量化分析,以数字原住民微信用户个人资料图像为研究对象,考察该群体人格特质对自我呈现的影响。研究发现,人格特质得分越高的数字原住民微信用户越倾向于使用含有自己的图像;具体个人资料图像的选择更多是一种随机性的表达;人格特质差异并不明显影响个人资料图像的选择。但是,数字原住民微信用户人格特质五因素间大多存在相关关系,同时在是否使用含有自己图像的两类用户中相关关系的表现存在明显差异。研究还发现,数字原住民微信用户更倾向于使用不含有自己的图像,这与境外以Facebook用户为对象的同类研究差异明显。
WeChat users’profile image is one of the key points to analyze the survival psychology and behavior on the internet.Whether the self-presentation behavior in social network is a reflection and extension of real life has always been controversial.Based on the selfpresentation theory,the Big-five structure theory and the perspective of personality psychology,this paper conducts a quantitative analysis and takes the profile image of digital native WeChat users as the research object to investigate the influence of the personality traits on selfpresentation.The research finds that the higher the score of the digital natives WeChat users’personality traits,the more inclined to use their own image.The choice of specific profile image is more of a random expression.And,differences in personality traits do not significantly affect the choice of personal profile image.However,most of the five factors of digital native WeChat users’personality traits have correlations,and there are significantly differences in the performance of correlation between the two types of users who use their own image or not.The research also finds that digital natives WeChat users prefer to use image that do not contain their own,which is quite different from similar researches on Facebook users abroad.
