论视觉霸权时代女性身体的“前台化”

On the“Onstage”of Female Body in the Era of Visual Hegemony

视觉霸权时代女性身体所负载的目光越来越繁复和沉重,从大众传媒到女性自身都十分注重身体形象的塑造和呈现,女性身体正日益打破公共场域与私人领域、现实生活与虚拟空间之间的边界,而随时随地展现为一种“前台化”状态。“前台”即用以描述个体在日常生活中尽力展示其个人形象以及维系、体现某些标准的一个区域。女性身体的“前台化”主要指女性身体在当下随时随地呈现出来的展演性情态,其具体表现为身体的日常表演化和日常审美化现象,造成这一情形的原因来自女性的自我凝视及社会上广泛的他者凝视。在种种凝视中,女性在“后台”以大众传媒中种种“完美无瑕”的身体意象为模板,对自身身体进行精心包装和设计,投入大量的精力和财力,甚至陷入对“物”和“技术”的迷恋和屈从中。这其中牵涉女性的焦虑与失控、自我表达与自我认同以及自我与身体之间的关系等问题。

In the era of visual hegemony,women's bodies have been burdened with more and more complicated and heavy“gaze”.From mass media to women themselves,great importance has been attached to the shaping and presentation of body images.The female body is increasingly breaking the boundary between public and private fields,real life and virtual space,and presenting an"onstage"state anytime and anywhere.“Onstage”is used to describe an area in which individuals try their best to display their personal image and maintain and embody certain standards in their daily life.The"onstage"of the female body mainly refers to the display of the female body at any time and anywhere,which is embodied in the daily performance and daily aesthetics of the body.And the reason for this situation is the self-gaze of women and the widespread gaze of others in society.In various gazes,women take the"flawless"body images in the mass media as the template in the"backstage",meticulously package and design their bodies,invest a lot of energy and money,and even fall into the obsession and submission of"objects"and"technology",which involves women’s anxiety and loss of control,self-expression and self-identity,and the relationship between the self and the body.
