Formation of indicator system for groundwater management and control should be the basis for monitoring and supervision of groundwater overdraft.With consideration to maintain virtuous cycle of water resources and health of natural ecosystem,strengthen strategic reserve of groundwater and make efficient use of groundwater,discussions are made on general ideas of defining indicator system for groundwater management and control,and key technical elements such as indicators of amount of groundwater exploitation,groundwater level and others.Suggestions are made for balancing the relationship between multiple factors,adjusting measures to local conditions,integrated coordination and dynamic adjustment.
