再析《呼啸山庄》——从伊格尔顿的小说批评观视角

Rereading Wuthering Heights:from the Perspective of Eagleton's Critical View

特里·伊格尔顿在作品《勃朗特姐妹——权力的神话》中针对勃朗特三姐妹的小说展开了批评分析。但限于篇幅,论著中关于艾米莉·勃朗特作品的批评仅有寥寥数语,而剩下的关于《呼啸山庄》的批评更是存在部分“矛盾性”论述。因而借助伊格尔顿的批评观,通过对小说叙述的“中国套盒”模式、“神话”背后的权力之争以及作恶造善的“替罪羊”意象展开分析,可以重新挖掘《呼啸山庄》中的文本意蕴。

Terry Eagleton makes a critical analysis of the Bronte sisters'novels in his book Myths of Power-A Marxist Study of the Brontes.However,due to the limited space,only a few criticisms of Emily Bronte's works are made in the book,with the rest criticisms Wuthering Heights are partly"contradictory".Therefore,with the help of Eagleton's critical view,the text implication in Wuthering Heights can be rediscovered by analyzing the"Chinese nested boxes",the power struggle behind the"myth"and the image of"scapegoat"for evil and good.
