In order to solve the problems of urban road jam and heavy traffic,and promote the development of internet of things in intelligent traffic system,the research analyzes the development situation of intelligent traffic system at home and abroad,the important effect of internet of things,and the application of internet of things in intelligent traffic system,i.e.sensor,RFID,wireless network,video surveillance and collection and GPS technology.In the future,internet of things will promote the traffic management mode to transform from passive to active type.Data collection and analysis of traffic network will achieve intelligent development.
